Full-Stack Developer | Central Bristol | Salary to £45,000 + healthcare, 25 days hol, pension, amazing office space

You’ll be joining at the start of a tech transformation which will involve the re-write of applications, systems and services to a brand new API & microservice architecture

Decent tech stack

You’ll be developing solutions using Javascript (React) and using the LAMP stack (Symfony framework)

Socially Responsible

They are an ambassador of environmental sustainability. They live and breathe it.

A brand worth getting behind  / meaningful work

They are in the business of creating amazing experiences and they celebrate difference.

If you are a Full-Stack Developer with skills in PHP & JavaScript, a thirst for learning and a positive ‘I can do this’ attitude then be part of something exceptional. Working closely with the CTO (who is in my eyes an absolute hero) you will develop their new tech platform – services, components etc all within a microservices architecture. It’s a relatively small team although it’s bursting with talent.

Skills they like but are not hung up on include:

  • The LAMP stack – Linux | Apache | MySQL | PHP
  • Symfony (although they’ve got nothing against Laravel, Zend so if you come with these that’s fine)
  • Javascript  - Angular (I know it’s kind of been covered already)
  • Devops – Docker | AWS | Lambda

They are a collaborative bunch so regular scrummages are to be expected. This is a special place to work and you’ll get that when / if you choose to meet them.

About SR2 - Socially Responsible Recruitment

We are a new(ish) start-up within the IT/Digital recruitment space in Bristol approaching our business in what we believe to be the right way – with a focus on our social responsibility through transparency, honesty and integrity in our approach as well as making a fixed profit charitable donation to a different charity every 6 months. In our first 12 months we donated over £8500 to ‘Caring in Bristol’ - https://caringinbristol.co.uk/ who do some fantastic work in supporting the homeless in Bristol. They have a night shelter which sleeps 30+ people but that’s not all. They try to dig down on the causes of homelessness to try and identify long-term fixes and preventative measures. We also focus our attention on increasing the number of women in IT and Gender Pay Gaps which are hot topics in our industry at present – We hosted our first ‘Women Rock’ last year in Cardiff (the same night as an Ed Sheeran gig!) and had a decent turnout. We’re planning a 2nd meetup soon! Strip that all back and we are a team of IT recruiters with 30 odd years of experience between us – I focus exclusively on the open-source space and within it PHP & JavaScript. We support the local tech ecosystem in sponsoring and organising a myriad of tech meetups including PHPSW, BristolJS, TestBristol, Ladies that UX, BristolGolang, Bristol Cloud Native and Devops and SW LIT
